WindBlue started out as an idea for powering a small hunting cabin. That eventually led to a company that provided entire affordable "do-it-yourself" kits for home wind power. You can buy the parts for the WindBlue wind generator or a buy the full kit to get your own residential wind power.
WindBlue offers kits for lower speed areas (wind speeds of 5-15 mph) and for higher speed areas. A wind turbine kit from them will cost less than $600, which is more affordable than many past models. WindBlue turbines are designed to be used off-grid or with a tie-in.
